About Me

I was that kid that always stayed out until after dark – never came home on time – and was often found miles from the house.  I always wanted to see what was over the next hill or around the next corner, and I never walked the same way twice if possible.  It was only natural for long distance backpacking and hiking to become a part of my life.

I’m older now, and the wander lust has subsided a little, but I still live vicariously through the journals and experiences of other hikers and wanderers, following the ramblings and explorations of other adventurers.  I still purchase gear, read hiker blogs, and basically pine away for what I can no longer experience, mostly because I had to grow up at some point, and become a semi-responsible adult.

In my tiny corner of the internet I’ve gathered together what I find interesting, a few of my own experiences, and a conglomeration of tidbits and stories that might be helpful or interesting to others.

Thank you
